I have been doing paper cuts for years.

Every Christmas season I would design a card that was cut out of water color paper. Each year was a different design, pensive and simple and a gift
unto itself.

There has been an evolution in the process. They have evolved into Lightworks--drawing with light and a knife. These works include the graphic language that I have developed over the years...sort of like a mantra by repeating the form. Each is cut free-hand with no template other than the defined space. They are exercises of being in the moment, defining space with light and line.

The works are framed in shadow frames that give the cut work space to breathe. There is a frosted resin back that allows light in thus allowing them to glow. Since the frames are deep enough to stand free, they are best appreciated standing with a light source in the rear of the work.

Each work is signed and dated and comes matted in a black frame. There are two frame sizes:
- 10" wide x 10" high x 1-3/4" deep (with the artwork being 4-3/4" square).
- 20-1/2" wide x 20-1/2" high x 1-3/4" deep (with the artwork being 11" square).

The frames are black with a glass front.
