Shardonnay is a play on words. The work is composed of shards of glass which have carefully cut, filed and sanded with edges that are frosted. The shards are wrapped with aluminum wire and look similar to the wire used to retain the cork in a champaign bottle. The variations in size deal with the amount of shards used in each work and the diameter of the light source. Each aviation adds allure. The size of the projecting cans are: the large can is 6 inches long and 5 inches in diameter; the small can is 6 inches long x 3 inches in diameter. The amount of shards used varies. They are available in multi and similar tones. They remind me of capturing a Storm of sorts...order out of chaos. The pricing is based on the size of the cans and the number of shards. I would say there is a maximum length determined by how far the light illuminates the shards. Enjoy!
